There’s a free Radiohead game that unlocks Radiohead music in Fortnite

I do not think I could write a headline that more perfectly encapsulates video game mode in 2021. The experimental rock band Radiohead has a special reissue of Kid A and Amnesia, and alongside it has released the Kid A Mnesia Exhibition, a digital art exhibition available published by Epic for free on PC and PlayStation 5. It also gives you free Radiohead music in Fortnite.

Kid A Mnesia Exhibition was released today along with Epic’s regular rotation of free PC games. It is described on the store page as “a feverish dream room, a edifice, built of art and creatures, words and recordings of Radioheads Kid A and Amnesiac uncovered 20 odd years ago, reunited and given new mutant life.”

If you claim the Kid A Mnesia Exhibition from the Epic Games Store the next time you log on to Fortnite, you will be greeted with the message that “your purchased items are waiting for you” and you will have a new bite of music running in the game. Well, uh, ‘music’. The track is Untitled v1 from Kid A Mnesia, which is quite experimental even though the Radiohead tracks go.

But still a nice track.
