With Eternities just around the corner it’s easy to forget that the third movie in Tom Holland‘s Spider Man trilogy, Spider-Man: No way home, is less than two months away. But Holland in a recent interview with Empire Magazine, teased something new for anxious fans to spin their web on.

In the interview, Holland described, “one of the coolest scenes I’ve ever recorded.” He expanded by saying, “There are four people sitting at a table and having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing.” we saw the scene, my brother and I, and our jaws were on the floor. ”

So who are the mysterious characters sitting with Spider-Man? Well, one of them could very well be Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange, which we saw a lot of in the first trailer for the film and seems to be the catalyst for this whole story. However, it causes two more chairs to fill. With Alfred Molina‘s Doctor Octopus confirmed returning to this movie and other villains as Jamie Foxx‘s Electro also coming back, there are two real possibilities that Holland confirmed without directly confirming. Is he sitting with Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfields versions of Peter Parker? Holland says the characters talk about what it’s like to be a superhero, and what better people for this young Spider-Man to get advice from than himself? While it’s very possible that it could just be another unannounced Avenger, in a series where Thanos wiped out half of humanity and the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes constantly appear in other characters’ solo films, it would really be “subduing” on this point in time?

Maguire and Garfield may be the worst kept secret in Hollywood if they actually star in the film, as it has been rumored for months that they are, especially given that Multiverse seems to be the next frontier for Marvel Studios. Holland has been loose in the past when it comes to spoilers, but Marvel and Holland themselves are really trying to keep as much of this movie a secret as possible. In the same interview, Holland danced around Spider-Verse-related issues, and if other Spider-Men are in the movie, saying, “I do not know. I am always in the dark. If they are, no one has told me that. ”

It’s still unknown if Maguire and Garfield will return as their cinematic versions of the wall crawler, but we will not have to wait long as this much awaited third film is almost here, as Holland has previously described as an end to the trilogy. Spider-man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watt and the stars Holland, Cumberbatch, zendaya, Molina, Foxx, Marisa Drak, and Jacob Battalion. Spider-Man: No way home will only be released in theaters on December 17th.
