Job Description

The Transfer Credit Unit facilitates the university’s academic mission by performing transfer credit entry and evaluation for new and continuing students. The Transfer Credit Specialist receives academic transcripts for evaluation for transfer credit, performing necessary data entry. Provides excellent customer service by representing the Office of the University Registrar, exercising strong public relations skills in assisting many customers by providing assistance, information, and referrals as appropriate to departments or personnel throughout the university community. Must maintain flexibility with shifting priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with high volume customer service in an academic or professional setting

*Strong computer skills such in data entry, spreadsheets, and database management *Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and pay constant attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize workload with excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, explain, and apply complex policies and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced office managing multiple assignment, prioritizing and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience conducting internet research
  • Experience working with confidential information
  • Experience in the practices related to transfer articulation and statewide policies that govern its practice and implementation
  • Experience with large relational databases, such as Banner.
  • Work experience in a related field

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as documentation of COVID-19 vaccination or receive approval from the university for a vaccination exemption due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
