Travis Scott denied responsibility for the Astroworld tragedy
Astroworld is an annual music festival held in Houston, Texas. Scott, who was born in Houston, hosts the festival. On November 5, 2021, the first night of the Astroworld Festival 2021 took place.
During the concert, a busy audience resulted in at least 10 people dying, dozens of hospitalizations and hundreds of concert-goers injured.
Since the concert took place, lawsuits have been filed against Scott, Live Nation and other Astroworld artists. Scott has since claimed he was unaware of the serious situation while performing.
“It was not really until … minutes before the press conference that he found out exactly what was happening,” Scott said in an interview with Charlemagne Tha God. “Even after the show, you just hear something … But I did not know the exact details until a few minutes before the press conference. And even in that moment, you’re a bit like, what? You’ve just been through something.”
The rapper denied responsibility for the Astroworld tragedy, saying: “The media would like to put on me, but in the end … it’s more about stepping out to find out what the problem is.”
