TUDUM 2021: Netflix’s biggest TV show reveals

The trailer shows Will, Lucas, Dustin, Max and Steve breaking into the quiet residence, but it does not take long before things take a turn for the spooky. A premiere date for Stranger Things season 4 has yet to be announced, except that it is expected to be released sometime in 2022.

Money Heist Season 5, Part 2

Originally produced as a limited series for Spanish television, Money Heist proved popular enough that Netflix was willing to fund additional seasons of the fast-paced crime series about eight random people chosen by a mysterious figure known as the professor to perform a series of daring upheavals. Second half of Money Heist season 5 is to be aired on december 3, 2021. The trailer for the new season finds the thieves by each other’s throats as they disagree on what to do in the absence of the professor who has mysteriously disappeared.

Ozark season 4

Published in 2017 for good reviews, Ozark is centered around financial adviser Marty Byrde (Justin Bateman), who becomes embedded in a drug deal even after moving from Chicago to a rural area in the Ozark Mountains. The upcoming fourth season of Ozark will be the last to consist of 14 episodes coming out in two blocks. An official release date for has not yet been announced Ozark season 4, part 1, in addition to coming sometime in early 2022. The trailer for Ozark Season 4, Part 1, is picked up right where the Season 3 finale ended, with Marty and his wife Wendy washing the blood off their faces after the violent execution they witnessed.

Sex Education Season 4

Primarily focused on the socially awkward Otis (Asa Butterfield), Sex education describes the lives of students, parents and staff at Moordale Secondary School after Otis starts an underground sex therapy group at the school. The age-of-age series has been a critical and commercial success for Netflix, and the third season was released earlier this month. Given that, it is not surprising that there was little to say about Sex education during Netflx’s TUDUM event in 2021, in addition to the series returning to Sex education season 4. An official release date is yet to be announced, but it is expected to be sometime in the second half of 2022.

Young Adult Series Spotlight

Locke and Key Season 2

Netflix has become known for their programming for young adults, so it is not surprising that a good portion of TUDUM 2021 was devoted to announcing which YA series had been renewed. Fans of Blood and water, Dear white people, Elite, Locke & Key, Disappeared in space, Love 101 and On my block everyone can expect to see new seasons of their favorite shows in the coming year. Netflix also announced the release of several new YA series, including Al Rawabi School for Girls, Welcome to Eden, Chosen, Colin in black and white, Invisible thread, The Crystal Girls, Dangerous conditions and Open your eyes.

Bridgerton Season 2

Based on the popular series of novels by Julia Quinn, Bridgerton follows the life of the Bridgerton family. The trailer for Bridgerton Season 2 is about the rocky romance between Antony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and the subject of his love, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). A release date for Bridgerton season 2 has yet to be announced as it is still in the middle of filming, although it is expected to be released sometime in the first half of 2022.

The first season of Netflix’s adaptation of The Sandman will adapt the first two novels, Preludes and Nocturner and The dollhouse. The first look trailer for The Sandman is centered around the capture of the title character, Dream of the Endless (Tom Sturridge), by a group of wizards led by Roderick Burgess (Charles Dance).
