Two men charged with murder of missing Ashley Walsh

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man who disappeared from Oldham.

Ashley Walsh of Failsworth disappeared on January 7, 2022.

He was last seen on Kintore Walk around 11pm.

Police have now confirmed that the 34-year-old’s body has been found in a wooded area of ​​Sandhills Park in Collyhurst.

Ashley’s relatives have been notified.

Aaron Evitt, 33, of Brentnor Road, Manchester, and Gerrard McGlacken, 45, of Kintore Walk, Manchester, have now been charged with his murder.



Police and forensic teams in Sandhills Park

Both have been remanded in custody and will appear in Manchester Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday).

A 30-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the trial.
