In an interview with the Bombay Times, the former Bigg Boss 15 contestant accepted that he made the tweet, but he did not want Sidharth Shukla to be thrown out of the house. He said he just wanted Sidharth Shukla to be punished for his behavior. Umar Riaz was quoted as saying, “I agree that I had said that Sidharth pushed Asim was not right, but I never said he should be removed from the show. When people asked me, I used to say that he should have some punishment in the house itself. ”
Although Umar Riaz is out of the show, he is hailed as the winner of the current season as he has received tremendous love from the audience. The Twitter trend ‘Public Winner Umar Riaz’ crossed 17.1 million tweets, and trends for Umar reportedly surpassed that of Sidharth Shukla. Now the buzz is that Umar Riaz can re-enter the Bigg Boss 15 house on public demand.
