“Get the little whipper snapper back soon! The company depends on it!” Grab your popcorn and soda, get your 1 ¢ ticket, and enjoy this old-fashioned presentation of a classic cinema work. The fine people at Pixar have released an entertaining “Pixar Remix“video recording Monsters Inc and makes it a classic silent film. The full 4-minute “short film” is available on YouTube, and it’s a completely bloated way to brighten up your day. I love the attention to detail, all the fun title cards, and I really appreciate that they have actually remade whole film (which usually lasts 92 minutes) as silent film. Monsters Inc celebrating its 20th anniversary this month, which originally opened in the fall of 2001. It’s still one of my favorite Pixar movies; in fact, it is one of the best animated films ever made. I can still watch it anytime and I always feel better. Enjoy the show.
Published on Pixar’s YouTube. Intro from YouTube: “It’s a scary time! Grab your popcorn and watch Mike and Sulley fill these screaming containers in this classic silent film style.” Pixars Monsters Inc Opened in theaters for the first time in November 2001. It was directed by Pete Docter (who was making his very first feature film at the time) and co-directed by David Silverman and Lee Unkrich. The script is by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson. Based on an original story by Pete Docter & Jill Culton & Jeff Pidgeon & Ralph Eggleston. In early drafts, the character of Boo was written to be six years old. The writers decided to make Boo younger because it would make her more dependent on Sulley. It usually took 11 to 12 hours to render a single frame of Sulley due to his 2.3 million individually animated strands of hair. It is available to see at Disney + or other services.
