‘We have a crisis at the border’ and need more people and resources

During an interview with CBS ‘”The Takeout” podcast recorded Tuesday and released Friday, the rep said. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) that there is “a crisis at the border” and we need to have stronger investment of people and resources to solve the problem.

Host Major Garrett asked, [relevant remarks begin around 38:50] “Does this White House have a blind spot as to what is happening at the border and its political implications?”

Spanberger replied: “I do not know how I would classify it, but should we take steps to ensure that every single person working at the border has the technology, the resources they need? Absolutely. We have border security agents “Working so hard, and fighting with people trying to cross the border is part of it. But banning is another part of it.”

She added: “We have a crisis at the border that we have to deal with. We have people crossing the border and we need more technology. We need more investment of people and resources and immigration judges.”
