Wendy Williams breaks health silence, saying she ‘makes progress’

The TV show of the day has had various celebrity guests fill in for her while she continues to heal.

After months of delays and filled hosts on her show, Wendy Williams has updated viewers on her health status and tells them she is “making progress”.

Williams, 57, has disappeared from the fall list of daytime television shows. Wendy Williams Show was delayed from starting his new season after Williams experienced a breakthrough case of COVID-19 before finally picking up celebrity guest hosts.

While cured of COVID, Williams is still healing from complications from the autoimmune disorder Graves’ disease.

Williams shared his health update Wendy Williams Show Instagram account on Monday. She began with her characteristic phrase: “How do you do that? I MISS YOU ALL!”

“As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that takes longer than we expected, ”she said. “I’m a woman of a certain age and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready. I want to thank all my staff and our guest hosts to step up and step in while I can not be there. ”

Williams went on to thank all of her staff, the various celebrities who filled up during her absence, and Debmar-Mercury, the show’s production company.

She spoke directly to her fans and shared, “I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me.”

She concluded, “I love spending my mornings with all of you, and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy needs to focus on Wendy. I love you because you watch.”
