What are you playing this weekend? – Edition 409

No Man's Sky PS5 PlayStation 5 PS4 1

We are not sure of your part of the world, but the temperature has definitely plummeted here at Push Square Towers. This means that we want to avoid the outdoors as much as humanly possible, as we stick to a number of titles over the weekend.

The NFL playoffs kick off this weekend, and with so much sports on the agenda this month, I’ve made the conscious decision to avoid story-based games. I will dig into racers like Hot Wheels Unleashed and DIRT 5 between major sporting matches.

Believe it or not, I’m actually diving back into No Man’s Sky this weekend. It’s mostly a work-related endeavor, to be honest, but I have not spent time in the colorful universe for a while and I am curious to explore it again.

Jamie O’Neill, reviewer

When I consistently participate in WAYP, I appreciate that it makes me more thoughtful about how I spend my free time on games, like how in 2021 I concentrated on PS3 games. I want to shift this focus to the handheld convenience of the PS Vita in 2022, so after last weekend playing a Yacht Club Games title, I’ll return to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

Henry Stockdale, reviewer

I finally started with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I never touched these games when they were first launched, but I finally dived into them this week and I just got to Feros. I might as well load up on some Windjammers, and notice that it itches before the sequel drops next week.

So that’s what keeps us busy this weekend, but what about the rest of you? What keeps you warm this winter? Tell us as always below.
