Will Smith Cheated on Jada Pinkett Before August Alsina Drama

Fans of the Smiths have for some time now been wondering if Will Smith has cheated on Jada Pinkett Smith in the past. According to Will, his wife is not the “only one” who has had marital relations.

As a refresher, Jada and Will previously appeared in a bomb episode of The Red Table Talk in July 2020 to discuss allegations by rapper August Alsina, who claimed he had an affair with the 50-year-old Girls turn star. According to August, Will even gave him “his blessing” to continue the relationship for years. While reps for Smiths initially denied August’s claims, the couple eventually went on to confirm the story themselves. Under their Red Table Talk episode, Will and Jada revealed that the relationship took place during a period of separation during their marriage.

Now, just over a year since the couple spoke to the marital relationship, Will has confirmed that his wife was not “the only one” to have a relationship with another during their 23-year marriage in an interview with GQ. “The public has a story that is impenetrable. Once the public decides something, it is difficult or impossible to remove the images and ideas and perceptions, ”says the 53-year-old Fresh prince of Bel-Air alum said before “delicately” explaining that the perception that his wife was the only one who participated in sexual relations is simply untrue.

“Jada never believed in conventional marriage,” Will continued. “Jada had family members who had an unconventional relationship. So she grew up in a way that was very different from how I grew up. There were significant endless discussions about what is relational perfection? What is the perfect way to interact as a couple? And for much of our relationship, monogamy was what we chose, without thinking of monogamy as the only relational perfection. ”

GQ’s November cover story confirmed that Will and Jada’s relationship at one point ceased to be monogamous. “We have given each other confidence and freedom with the conviction that everyone must find their own way. And marriage for us cannot be a prison, ”added Will. “And I do not suggest our path to anyone. I do not suggest this path to anyone. But the experiences that the freedoms we have given each other and the unconditional support are for me the highest definition of love. ”
