Youtube has launched its campaign, #CreateWithCare, which aims to empower and nurture creators on the platform. This campaign repeats YouTube’s commitment to being an open platform for its users and also ensuring the protection of creators’ finances. #CreateWithCare brings together 30 leaders YouTubers, from across the country and across 8 languages that are committed to creating content that is mindful, responsible and inspiring new creators.
Creators like Gaurav Chaudhary of Technical Guruji, Kabita Singh | of Kabitas kitchen, Prajakta Koli aka MostlySane, Madan Gowri, Said Anisha among other things, promised this campaign. This responsible initiative is part of Youtube‘s constant efforts to nurture a space that helps creators scale their content and reach a wider and global audience of around 2 billion monthly logged in Youtube users.
While addressing creators, Satya Raghavan, Manager, Youtube Partnerships said
Our mission has always been to give everyone a voice and show them the world. Today, 68% of video viewers say so Youtube is created by people like them, a true testimony that it is YouTube’s diverse, vibrant creative ecosystem that caters to audiences far and wide. As more creators come to Youtube, we have partnered with leading creators to operate #CreateWithCare campaign to help existing and new creators understand the responsibility they have to create content that is sensitive and inclusive. This is another way for us to continue to support and grow the creative community responsibly and inspire the broader creative ecosystem
That #CreateWithCare campaign wants to include all creators, even those who have just started their content creation journey Youtube. The vision of this campaign and platform is to create an ecosystem where content is created responsibly along with the use of correct terminologies, avoiding cultural appropriations and breaking stereotypes. This initiative of Youtube is determined and very commendable. On a side note, we also hope that everyone who reads this is safe and being vaccinated.
